1. Preparation work and matters needing attention before starting

A. Fully check whether the mechanical seals, auxiliary devices and pipelines are fully installed and meet the technical requirements.

B. Static pressure test shall be conducted before the mechanical seal is started to check whether there is leakage of the mechanical seal. If there is more leakage, we should find out the cause and try to eliminate it. If it still does not work, it should be disassembled for inspection and re - installation. General static pressure test pressure with 2~3 kg/cm2.

C, according to the pump rotation turning, check whether light and uniform. If the wheel is difficult or not moving, it should check whether the assembly size is wrong, installation is reasonable.

2. Installation and shutdown

A. The sealed cavity should be filled with liquid before starting. For conveying solidified media, steam is applied to heat the sealed chamber to melt the media. It must be turned before starting to prevent the soft ring from breaking due to sudden start.

B. For mechanical seals using pump external sealing oil system, the sealing oil system should be started first. Finally stop the sealing system after stopping.

C. After the hot oil pump stops running, the cooling water of the oil sealing chamber and the end face seal cannot be stopped immediately. The cooling water can be stopped only when the oil temperature at the end face seal drops below 80 degrees, so as not to damage the sealing parts.

3, run

A. After the pump is started, if there is slight leakage, observe it for a period of time. If continuous operation for 4 hours, the leakage is still not reduced, the pump should be stopped for inspection.

B, pump operating pressure should be stable, pressure fluctuation is not more than 1 kg/cm2.

C, pump in operation, should avoid the phenomenon of evacuation, so as not to cause dry friction sealing surface and seal damage.

D. The sealing condition should be checked frequently. In operation, when the leakage exceeds the standard, the heavy oil shall not be more than 5 drops/min, and the light oil shall not be more than 10/ min. If there is no improvement trend within 2-3 days, the pump shall be stopped to check the sealing device.

4, maintenance

All kinds of reducer gear box, bearing box, screw seal, mechanical seal and other equipment sealing parts, due to long time and large torque mechanical movement, gear box meshing clearance becomes larger, resulting in greater noise and equipment vibration. In addition, the sealing part has been running at high speed and high temperature for a long time. Leakage of sealing parts is caused by the following reasons:

1, the leakage of oil seal quality problems;

2, improper lubrication management, resulting in the addition of excess oil or lack of oil dry grinding;

3. Seal failure caused by damage to seals during maintenance;

4, oil level exhaust hole blockage resulting in excessive pressure; The above problems not only affect the safe and continuous operation of enterprise production equipment, but also cause a large consumption of enterprise costs.

Due to the serious oil seepage during the operation of the equipment, it brings many disadvantages to the safety production. The traditional method is to shut down the oil seal for a long time, disassemble and replace the gasket and deal with the joint surface.
