1. There are generally two problems with oil seals

2. The shaft problem
When the surface of the shaft has high roughness or rust spots, rust spots, burrs, etc., it must be smoothed with gauze before installing the oil seal. At the same time, clean grease should be applied to the corresponding position of the oil seal lip or shaft diameter.

3. Oil problem
Due to the different viscosity of different types of oil and water, it is necessary to replace the same grade of lubricating oil when changing the oil. Improper use of oil will also cause oil leakage from the oil seal. At the same time, when adding new lubricating oil, do not add too much oil or block the ventilation holes. This will cause the internal pressure to be too large when the vehicle is running, which will exceed the sealing working pressure of the oil seal and cause oil leakage; when there are too many impurities in the lubricating oil, and there are alloy powder and metal iron filings, all new oil should be replaced to prevent damage to the oil seal.
4. Improper installation or failure of internal accessories
When installing the oil seal, if there is a special tool, it must be pressed into the oil seal with a special tool. Do not hit the oil seal with a hammer, so as not to deform the oil seal or break the spring and fail. If the lip is flanged, the spring will come off or the oil seal will have to be removed and reinstalled.
