Viton fluoroelastomers were developed in 1957 to meet the requirements of the aerospace industry for high performance seals. Since then, fluoroelastomer has been rapidly applied to the automobile industry, chemical industry and other industrial fields. After more than 40 years of application, it has been proved that VITON fluoroelastomers have excellent performance in heat and corrosion resistance. Some of the main characteristics of its vulcanized rubber are as follows:

(1) VITON fluoroelastomers can work at high temperatures, when the physical and mechanical properties provided are superior to most other elastomers. The increase of temperature has a relatively small effect on the oil resistance and chemical resistance of fluorine rubber. Even after continuous aging in the oven at 204℃ or intermittently at 260℃, the fluoroelastomer will maintain a certain elasticity. The use conditions at high temperature are usually 232℃×3000h, 260℃×l00h, 288℃× 24OH, 316℃×48h.

(2) the general temperature of fluorine rubber can be as low as one 18 to one 23℃ under dynamic conditions, but the specific rubber can be used as low as one 54℃ under static conditions. It has been proved that the performance of VITON fluoroelastomer is satisfactory when it is used as a static seal under the condition of near absolute zero.

(3) among all the industrialized elastomers, fluorine rubber resistance to liquid and chemical media performance is better than any non-fluorine elastomer, it has excellent oil resistance, aviation fuel resistance, lubricant resistance, resistance to most mineral oil ability. Fluoroelastomers have very low permeability to most substances and have excellent performance in low oxidation resistance vehicle fuel penetration. Aaliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons are solvents for elastomers in general, but Viton rubber has good durability against them.

(4) Even under high temperature conditions, Viton rubber still has superior compression permanent deformation properties.

(5) Excellent resistance to atmospheric, light and oxidative aging, good resistance to mold and fungus, good electrical properties when used under low voltage and low frequency, better inherent flame retardant than non-fluorinated elastomer.

FPM

Fluoro Carbon Rubber (Fluoro Carbon Rubber) moleculescontain fluorine and are of various types depending on the fluorine content (i.e. monomer structure). At present, the widely used hexafluorinated fluoroelastomer was first listed by DuPont under the trade name "Viton". High temperature resistance is better than silicone rubber, has excellent chemical resistance, most oil and solvent (except ketone, ester), weather resistance and ozone resistance; Cold resistance is poor, the general use of temperature range is -20~250 ℃. Special formulation can withstand low temperature up to -40 ℃.

Advantages:

· Heat resistance up to 250 ℃

· Resistant to most oils and solvents, especially all acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and animal and vegetable oils

Disadvantages:

· It is not recommended to use on ketones, low molecular weight esters and mixtures containing nitrate. · Cars, locomotives, diesel engines and fuel systems.

Scope of application:

· Seals for chemical plants.

Perfluorinated rubber FFPM

(Perfluoroelastomer) advantages:

· Optimal heat resistance

· Excellent chemical resistance

· Low Outgassing characteristics

· Excellent Plasma resistance

Disadvantages:

· Poor low temperature resistance

· High raw material prices

· Difficulty in production

Scope of application:

· Perfluorinated products are widely used in the semiconductor industry and information related industries, including PVC, CVD and etching processes in the film manufacturing process and various high vacuum sealing processes.

Silicon fluorine rubber

FLS

(Fluorinated Silicone Rubber) Silicone Rubber is Fluorinated Silicone Rubber, its general performance and has the advantages of fluorine Rubber and Silicone Rubber; Its oil resistance, solvent resistance, fuel oil resistance and high and low temperature resistance are good, the general use of temperature is -50~200 ℃.

Advantages:

· Suitable for special applications such as resistance to attack by chemicals containing oxygen, solvents containing aromatic hydrogen and solvents containing chlorine.

Disadvantages:

· Exposure to brake oil, ketone, and lossal solution is not recommended. · Space machinery.

(FFKM) O-ring

Perfluoroether rubber is composed of TFE (main chain), PMVE (branch chain) and bridging part, it not only has the same excellent high temperature resistance as PTFE, chemical corrosion resistance (can resist more than 1600 kinds of chemical corrosion), but also has the elasticity of rubber, its compression deformation rate at 300℃ is only below 50%. Normal perfluorinated rubber operating temperature range of -25 ° C to +240 ° C, Kalrez7075 high temperature resistance up to 327 ° C, even when exposed to a constant temperature of 316 ° C or such as 343 ° C of the intermittent high temperature environment, Kalrez production does not occur hardening and embrittlement leading to seal failure. Kalrez retains its elasticity and resilience in direct contact with the impregnation of an aggressive fluid. In fact, the thermal stability of Kalrez often exceeds that of those fluids themselves. Perfluorinated elastomers also have excellent air tightness (vacuum resistance up to 1.33x10-7-1.33x10-8Pa) and high cleanness and ionization resistance, which are also widely used in the semiconductor industry.
